Immigration Psychological Evaluations
At Voces de Vida, we understand that behind every immigration process there is a human story — of loss, love, courage, and resilience. Our immigration psychological evaluations are not only legal documents; they are spaces to give voice to experiences that have often gone unheard.
We conduct trauma‑informed, culturally responsive psychological immigration evaluations written in clear and professional language for legal use, always honoring each person’s dignity, emotional truth, and context. Evaluations are offered in English or Spanish, according to the preferred language, in a compassionate, confidential, and supportive environment.
Types of Immigration Evaluations
We offer psychological evaluations for the following immigration processes:
- VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)
For individuals who have experienced abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, parent, or child. - Extreme Hardship & Waivers
For citizens or residents who would experience significant emotional or psychological suffering if a family member were deported or denied immigration status. - U Visa
For victims of certain crimes who have suffered emotional or physical harm and are cooperating with law enforcement. - T Visa
For survivors of human trafficking. - Asylum
For individuals who have fled persecution or violence and are seeking protection in the United States.
Our Approach

Each report is grounded in evidence‑based clinical tools and includes behavioral observations and clinical impressions that help immigration attorneys and judges understand the psychological experience within its human and cultural context.

Adult ADHD Evaluations (Ages 18+)
At Voces de Vida, we offer ADHD (Attention‑Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) evaluations for adults, designed to provide clarity, understanding, and clinical guidance.
Many individuals reach adulthood without having received an adequate evaluation, despite years of difficulties with attention, organization, emotional regulation, or time management. Our approach recognizes that adult ADHD can present in diverse ways and may be influenced by trauma, culture, educational history, and life experiences.
What Does the Evaluation Include?
Adult ADHD evaluations include:
- Clinical interview
- Review of personal, academic, and work history
- Use of standardized, evidence‑based tools
- Exploration of co‑occurring conditions (anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.)
- Clinical report with diagnostic impressions and recommendations
Evaluations are offered in English or Spanish.
Who Is This Evaluation For?
This evaluation may be helpful if:
- You have wondered whether ADHD explains persistent difficulties in your life
- You are seeking diagnostic clarity in adulthood
- You would like recommendations for treatment, supports, or accommodations
- You have experienced frustration, burnout, or a sense of “not performing as expected”
